What is FSSAI registration application?
FSSAI stands for Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, issues food safety standards and carries on control over food quality by implementing various control for food business operator and issues registration certificate and licenses.
What is FSSAI registration?
Registration of FSSAI is mandatory for certain food business operator and once the registration is completed the applicant will be issued with fssai certificate with fssai number. This fssai certificate is valid for a period applied. The local food safety officer will inspect your premises and will issue fssai registration certificate or license as the case may be.
What is the difference between FSSAI registration and FSSAI license?
FSSAI registration is applicable where annual turnover is less than or equal to 12,00,000 and other quantity restrictions applies. So in case when we start new business and we expect the turnover to be less than Rs.12,00,000 in a year we can proceed with basic food safety registration. However, when we expect our turnover to cross 12,00,000 in between the year it is recommended to apply for a fssai license directly without keeping in mind initial sales.
How to apply FSSAI license
1. Fill up the checklist.
2. Submit filled up fssai registration checklist with mentioned fees.
3 Your fssai application will be submitted by fssai license registration consultant.
4. Fssai officer will inspect the premises and if he is satisfied he will grant the license.
5. Renew 1 month before the renewal date.
